PROJECT HISTORY

Buettner, Inc. has been involved in a variety of project types. Our diverse background gives us a unique understanding of all phases of construction and an understanding of the specific nuances of managing different types of projects. We have experience in managing the difficult scheduling profiles of occupied buildings and retail establishments, secure and/or hi-tech clean-room environments, historical buildings, public offices, public infrastructure and essential services facilities such as fire stations and police facilities. We have managed the construction of military and industrial structures and have managed the development of both new and rehabilitated multi-residential projects.

PUBLIC WORKS

  •     City of Santa Cruz  - Depot Multi Modal Station Project
    Landscape and Hardscape Development including the relocation of a historical train depot building. Currently under contract for building relocation only, valued at $362,000.    
        Value:  $4,500,000

  •     County of Santa Cruz - Redevelopment Agency – Live Oak Library
    Development of new Library for City of Live Oak. Services are inclusive of all owner representation including pre-construction design review, master schedule development, contract administration, team coordination and presentations on behalf of the City of Newark.                
        Value: $4,800,000

  •     City of Newark – Public Works – Silliman Swim Center

Development of addition to existing public health club. Project involves the ground-up construction of an indoor swim center. Services are inclusive of all owner representation including master schedule development, contract administration, team coordination and presentations on behalf of the City of Newark.     
    Value: $13,000,000

  •     City of Marina – Public Works – Misc. Projects
     
    Infrastructure project related to development of former Frt. Ord lands allocated to the City by the U.S. Department of the Army. Project consists of bike path lighting, landscape development and Corporate Yard upgrades. Services are inclusive of all owner representation including master schedule development, contract administration, team coordination and presentations on behalf of the City of Marina.     
        Value: $250,000 -

  •     City of Marina – Public Works – 5th St. Bike path
    Infrastructure project related to development of former Frt. Ord lands allocated to the City by the U.S. Department of the Army. Project consists of bike path construction under Caltrans Right of Way. Services are inclusive of all owner representation including master schedule development, contract administration, team coordination and presentations on behalf of the City of Marina.
        Value: $380,000 -

  •     City of Santa Cruz Redevelopment Agency – Public Works – Documentation Monitoring
    Monitoring and reporting of prevailing wage and local hire documentation required of general contractor and associated subcontractors.

  •     City Hall Campus Renovations – Santa Cruz, CA
    Multi -phase rehabilitation project for historic City Hall facilities and office space over the course of three years. Services where inclusive of all owner representation including master schedule development, contract administration, team coordination and presentations on behalf of the City of Santa Cruz. Provided CM services for first two phases of program. 
        Value:  $4,300,000

  •     Santa Cruz City Fire Department Modernization – Santa Cruz, CA
    Rehabilitation of three (3) Fire Stations and the Fire Department Administration building. Services included master schedule development, contract administration, team coordination and direction on behalf of the City of Santa Cruz Fire Department.   
        Value: $ 3,600,000

MULTI-RESIDENTIAL

  •     Owls Landing – Affordable Housing Complex (170 units) – Livermore, CA
    Six building complex from the ground up. Services included master scheduling, estimating, contractor coordination, project administration, team coordination and cost controlling.
        Value: 7,000,000

  •     Golden Glen / Maplewood Apartments Rehabilitation (91 units) – Concord, CA
    Rehabilitation of two severely degraded, yet occupied, apartment complexes. Services included complex master scheduling, estimating, contractor coordination, project administration, team coordination and extensive cost control systems development and implementation.   
         Value: $2,800,000

  •     Mariners Cove Condominiums (84 units) – Santa Cruz, CA
    Multi-residential complex. This project is a very good example of the need for CM services to be introduced early in the development of a project, prior to the start of construction and issuance of contracts. CM services where requested after the start of construction and services were inclusive of all Prime and Subcontractor contract re-negotiations, creation of cost control systems, financial management, schedule review and oversight of all aspects of the project.

  •     Lockheed-Martin Missiles and Space Company – Sunnyvale/Palo Alto, CA

    •  B/202,203,206,204,205,221 12KV Power Distribution - Power distribution system for R&D facility. Services included master scheduling, estimating, contractor coordination, project administration, team coordination and cost controlling

    • B/182 Disc Clean Room Installation - Secured clean room facility. Services included master scheduling, estimating, contractor coordination, project administration, team coordination and cost controlling.      

    • B/102 Human Resources Relocation - TI build-out of administrative facility. Services included master scheduling, estimating, contractor coordination, project administration, team coordination and cost controlling.   

    • B/182 Spray Paint Booth Exhaust Repair - Industrial facility within secured building operated by the Department of the Navy. Services included master scheduling, estimating, contractor coordination, project administration, team coordination and cost controlling.
